Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab New

Well-known health services facility is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join their team.

About the Opportunity:

• On Site, Hybrid, Remote: on site
• Shift: 9am-9:30pm and 7am-7:3pm
• Schedule: Full Time
• Setting: Acute Care

Responsibilities included but not limited to are:

• IV insertion, phlebotomy skill conscious sedation
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor them during and after, and provide education and support
• Perform physical assessments, ensuring consent, administering medications, and managing patient care throughout the procedure, including after-care
• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including physical assessments, obtaining informed consent, and providing pre-procedure education.
• Review patient medical history, medications, and lab results.
• Ensure patients are properly prepped for the procedure (e.g., shaving, prepping skin, administering medications).
• Monitor patients' vital signs, ECG, and other hemodynamic parameters during the procedure.
• Assist with interventional procedures such as balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and heart ablation.
• Administer medications and maintain sterility.
• Monitor patients' condition and assess the access site after the procedure.
• Manage post-procedural complications and administer medications.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedural care and potential complications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications & Experience

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications

• 2 years of experience in a critical care and Cardiac Cath Lab setting in an acute care setting

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system
