Position Description

A social services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

Start Date: ASAP
Programs: Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Caseload: 5 per day
EMR: Awards

Responsibilities:

Conducting mental status exams
Assessing physical health needs
Making appropriate referrals to Community Physicians
Providing management and administration of medications in conjunction with Psychiatrist
Participating on team that delivers an integrated array of treatment, rehabilitation and support services, customized to each person
Participating in rotating 24-hour crisis coverage and response
Perform other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in a Treatment and/or Rehabilitation setting
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge of Nursing assessment methods
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
