United Health Services is seeking adaptable, experienced RNs to join our Med Surg department at UHS Wilson Medical Center located in Johnson City, NY.

About the Role: United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. On the Medical Surgical floor, nurses manage up to 6 patients at a time. We look for critical thinkers who are able to work with a team of doctors at any given time. Medical Surgical is a fast-paced environment with ever changing needs. Our diverse team of nurses provide a supportive, and collaborative environment.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 7AM-7PM days and evenings, every 3rd weekend

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring vital signs and responding when necessary
  • Patient assessment and examination
  • Administering medications and interventions provided by Physician
  • Monitoring patient progress and condition

Qualifications

  • A valid RN license
  • 1 year bedside nursing experience
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Previous experience in med surg preferred
