Registered Nurse New

A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their residential facilities in Manhattan. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for helping to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
• Hours: 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm
• Setting: Residential Facility
• Population: IDD (Adult / Geriatric)

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and supervision of medical care for the individuals
• Offer comprehensive nursing services and interventions to assure that the healthcare needs of individuals receiving services are met
• Provide continuity of medical care and services to individuals by monitoring the planning, organizing
• Develop a Nursing Care Plan for each individual and ensure the plan is reviewed and revised, as needed
• Provide for the individual's continued health, welfare and safety by direction, coordination, and supervising the individual's medical care plan.
• Identify, assess, and report circumstances occurring at the time a person experiences a seizure, injury, illness, behavioral episode, and/or any other medical or emotional difficulty
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 6+ months of experience working with the OPWDD population
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
